Breakdown/Accidents
Our bikes are serviced in accordance with a “preventative maintenance” schedule, thereby reducing the chance of any potential
breakdown to a minimum. Unfortunately, breakdowns and accidents do happen. In the event of an accident, the number one
priority is to ensure your safety and well-being.
When it comes to the repairing of the bike, we will make every effort to accomplish this in the most cost effective, and efficient
manner possible to get the bike back into the same condition as when it was provided. In doing so, only OEM parts will be used
to ensure the continued safety of our customers.
i. The renter is responsible for carrying out a daily inspection (DI) prior to riding each day checking engine oil levels, tire pressure, and drive chain/belt tension if applicable.
Ii. Mechanical problems are to be reported as soon as possible. Daily inspection sheets for the renter are provided at the time of rental and the renter will be briefed on each task. Repairs required as a result of the failure to perform the DI will be
charged to the renter.
iii. The renter will be provided with Brookspeed Motorcycle Rentals contact numbers for 24hr support in case of any incident. Should an accident occur the renter should first contact emergency services if need be then contact Brookspeed Motorcycle
Rentals for assistance or information relating to the incident.
iv. In the event of an accident the renter will be responsible for all costs incurred to repair the motorcycle in an amount up to
the applicable coverage deductible. In addition, in the event of an accident the renter will be responsible for all costs incurred in the returning the motorcycle to Brookspeed Motorcycle Hire.
Flat Tires
Nobody likes a flat tire. But flat tires happen, from time to time. As you are resposible for the bike throughout your rental period, you are responsible for the flat tire also. As such, the following policies apply which we believe are very fair.
I. All replacement tires must match the vehicle's manufacture's specifications, and must meet the Transportation Safety
Board of Canada's standards. If not, the renter assumes full risk of liability and is responsible for the full cost of the
replacement tire, as well as the cost for the manufacture's specified replacement tire.
ii If you have a flat tire, Brookspeed Motorcycle Rentals will reimburse the renter 50% of the cost of the manufacturers replacement tire, and related mounting and installation charges to a maximum of $25.00.
Iii.Supplied tire repair kits are to be used only in emergency situations and are not acceptable for extended riding. Unless the
renter has previous experience and training in performing tire repairs with such kits, the repair should not be attempted. If the renter performs a tire repair he or she accepts full responsibility and liability for any injury, loss or damage resulting.
